By downloading, installing, or using WeekForward ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and WeekForward. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

WeekForward is a task management application for iOS devices that provides an interface to view, organize, and manage your Apple Reminders with a focus on weekly planning.

The App offers:

• Three view modes (Carousel, Compact, Calendar) for visualizing your weekly tasks
• Integration with Apple's native Reminders app via EventKit framework
• Local notification system for reminder alerts and daily summaries
• Task organization features including a Declutter view for unscheduled items
• Synchronization with your iCloud account through Apple's infrastructure

3. User Requirements

To use WeekForward, you must:

• Have a compatible iOS device running iOS 17.0 or later
• Have an active Apple ID and iCloud account for reminder synchronization
• Grant the App permission to access your Apple Reminders
• Grant permission for notifications (optional, but recommended for full functionality)
• Be at least 13 years of age (or have parental consent)

4. License and Usage Rights

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use WeekForward for personal, non-commercial purposes on your iOS device.

You May:

• Use the App on any iOS device that you own or control
• Use the App to manage your personal reminders and tasks
• Contact us with feedback, suggestions, or bug reports

You May Not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service

5. Apple Reminders Integration

WeekForward integrates with Apple's Reminders app and iCloud services. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Your reminder data is stored in your personal iCloud account, managed by Apple
• Apple's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy govern your use of iCloud and the Reminders service
• WeekForward is not responsible for any issues related to iCloud sync, data loss, or Apple's services
• You are responsible for maintaining your Apple ID credentials and account security
• WeekForward requires continuous internet connectivity for iCloud synchronization

6. Intellectual Property Rights

WeekForward and all related trademarks, service marks, graphics, logos, and content are the intellectual property of WeekForward or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks or branding.

All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by WeekForward.

7. User Conduct and Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your Apple ID and device security
• All activities that occur through your use of the App
• Ensuring your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• The accuracy and appropriateness of any content you create in your reminders
• Backing up your data (via iCloud or other means)

8. Privacy and Data

In summary:

• WeekForward does not collect or store your personal data on external servers
• All reminder data remains in your iCloud account
• We do not share your information with third parties
• Notifications are generated and delivered locally on your device

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

WeekForward is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Warranties regarding data loss prevention or backup

We do not guarantee that the App will meet your specific requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WeekForward and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or reminders
• Loss of profits or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Device malfunction or damage
• Any other commercial damages or losses

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is currently $0 as the App is free).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WeekForward, its developers, affiliates, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

12. Updates and Modifications

We may release updates, bug fixes, and new features for WeekForward from time to time. These updates may be necessary for the App to function properly or to provide new functionality.

You acknowledge that:

• Updates may change or remove features without prior notice
• We have no obligation to maintain or support any particular version of the App
• Continued functionality may require you to download and install updates

13. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either party.

You May Terminate by:

• Uninstalling the App from all your devices
• Discontinuing all use of the App

We May Terminate or Suspend Your Access if:

• You violate these Terms
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the App or service

Upon termination, your license to use the App immediately ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) shall continue to apply.

WeekForward relies on Apple's services, including:

• EventKit Framework for accessing Reminders
• iCloud for data synchronization
• UserNotifications Framework for local notifications
• App Store for distribution and updates

Your use of these Apple services is governed by Apple's own terms and conditions. WeekForward is not responsible for any third-party services or their availability.

15. Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiations between the parties
• If negotiations fail, binding arbitration or small claims court (at your election)

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WeekForward regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

19. Waiver

No waiver of any provision of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such provision or any other provision, and our failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

20. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify users through the App if changes are material
• Provide an opportunity to review the updated Terms

Your continued use of WeekForward after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App
